A Talk by Anne Dickens MBE.

Anne Dickins MBE was an endurance mountain biker who suffered a back injury that left her with a permanently weak left leg that prevented her enjoying her bike. A chance meeting as a volunteer at the 2012 Olympics with a GB Para Canoe Coach led to her being invited to try for the GB Canoe Squad selection. Anne succeeded and became a British paracanoeist competing in the KL3 classification. She won gold in this event at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. Anne has also won two World Championship and three European Championship golds. Anne didn’t stop there. She has continued to inspire by travelling the world on more adventures. Anne will tell her story how ‘ordinary people can do extraordinary things’.
