A presentation by Geoff Cowling. Geoff Cowling served in the Foreign Office for 40 years. His first posting was to the British Embassy in Kabul as Vice Consul in 1970, over half a century ago, Geoff took many photos, which have never been seen in public before, of an Afganistan largely destroyed in the wars that have since swept over this blighted land. One way or another, Afganistan remains in the headlines.
